Victories for Clinton and McCain reshape race

The Clintons have been under unparalled scrutiny since President Clinton had the audicity to win his election over Bush Sr. I make my own choices, and find Senator Obama rather conservative in his proposals: to me this does not constitute change from the trend in this administration. Particularly, his health proposal leaves a wide number of Americans still lacking essential health coverage. How is this different? I support Senator Clinton; I further believe she can hold her own against Sen. McCain, the only Republican candidate I believe worthy of the office. I disagree with his policies in the main, but I respect his consistency inviews and contributions to the nation. Frankly, in the new global economy, the worldwide distribution of wealth and prosperity is still very unbalanced, with the US but one example.

Keeping up with Reggie and Kim at Sundance

Kardashian, of course, is among the first people you'd expect to find here. And she doesn't quite know what she's in for. Beyond the paparazzi who typically hound her and the unusually aggressive star-seekers -- one would later ask Kardashian to autograph photos from her Playboy spread -- many do-gooders are here to give celebrities a piece of their mind. And one such group is currently shouting and wagging posters of maimed animals at our ride. They are protesters for PETA.

"Roll up the window!" yelps Kardashian, who is wearing a fur coat.

The Wait of the World's on Dan Brown

There are more than 80 million copies in print world-wide, according to Ms. Lange. It served as the basis of a blockbuster movie of the same name, released in 2006. Mr. Brown's earlier titles subsequently became wildly popular, too, each of them selling millions. "Angels & Demons" has 39 million in print.

Mr. Brown's income from all four books, including "The Da Vinci Code" and revenue from the film, has made him a rich man. Forbes magazine estimated Mr. Brown earned $88 million between June 2005 and June 2006, minus management, agent and attorney fees. Dan Burstein, editor of the best-seller "Secrets of the Code: The Unauthorized Guide to the Mysteries Behind The Da Vinci Code," thinks Mr. Brown may have earned as much as $250 million to $300 million from all related properties.

Many writers have struggled.
